Introduction
My entire multimedia website will serve as a hub for information regarding the Kamloops Blazers organization. This local hockey team brings a lot of value to the city of Kamloops be it financially, or culturally and I would love to investigate their societal presence throughout the community. With the different stories that I am going to be sharing, my hope is that anybody regardless of their knowledge surrounding sports can follow along and comprehend all aspects of the website. It should be super clearcut and engaging for everybody. I will cover the team’s success throughout the season, the experiences of being on the team, the experiences of going to games, the cultural presence and the team’s mission/motives. This seems like a lot of information, but throughout the multiple stories I will be sharing I feel like I could tie all this in together to give a full transparent view of what the Blazers organization really looks like.
Rationale
What other industry besides sports brings as many people together with combined goals and beliefs? I honestly don’t think there is one. This proves the societal presence and cultural significance that any sporting event can have on a community. It makes it even easier to get involved when the team you are cheering for is playing at the highest level of junior hockey in Canada. The Blazers have a really strong organization that night after night brings the community closer. Adding to this, the organization also does a lot for the tourism sector in Kamloops. Ticket sales, and attraction towards these games definitely boosts travel to and from Kamloops through the Blazers.

Media outline
I want my informative story to serve as a full explanation of the team’s success throughout the season. Obviously in any sport the intentions are to make it to the championships and come home as the winners. For people reading my website, I think it’s essential to be able to follow the team’s pursuit towards winning the WHL. I will go back and see how the season started and if they progressively got better or worse. Then I will focus on where they’re at today, and what steps they still need to take in order to accomplish their goal.
For my audio interview I will be sitting down to talk with the young star Kobe Verbicky. He’s a first year player on the Blazers and has a bright future with this organization. My hope is that through this interview he will be able to shine some light on what it’s actually like to be a part of such a highly coveted organization. I want to ask about his experiences in signing with the Blazers, and being paid to move to a new city for hockey at the age of 18. I also want to know a bit about the dynamics amongst the players. Lastly, I hope that he can answer what the team’s collective goals are for the remainder of the season. This definitely will be beneficial to my site, as it gives fans the opportunity to hear from a player on the team, and gain true perspective on what the inside of this organization looks like.
For my video, I would like to vlog my experiences in attending a game. I’ve done a lot of research surrounding this team, but still haven’t even been able to see them play yet. I think it would be really important for myself to gain some perspective on what this experience is actually like. Through this, I will get to see how much work gets put into setting up these events, and what the community atmosphere feels like. It will also serve as a representative for fans who have never gone to a game so that they can know what to expect in their first time.
